Short biography
She graduated in Environmental Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino in March 2006, with highest honors (110/110 cum laude). She subsequently earned a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the same institution, with a research focus on thermal waste treatment. Since July 2006, she has been working at the Politecnico di Torino, initially as a postdoctoral research fellow. In December 2018, she was appointed Associate Professor.
Since January 2016, she has been teaching the course Environmental Damage Assessment and Compatibility (Italian: Valutazione del danno ambientale e compatibilità) within the Master’s Degree Program in Environmental Engineering, as well as the course Climate Change Mitigation in the same program. She is also responsible for the PhD course Energy Recovery from Waste and Biomass.
She served as a member of the Executive Board of GITISA (Gruppo Italiano di Ingegneria Sanitaria Ambientale – Italian Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering). She is currently Vice Coordinator of the PhD Program in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino and a member of the Department Board of DIATI (Department of Environment, Land and Infrastructure Engineering).
