Short biography

Professor Bilgili obtained his B.Sc. in Environmental Engineering (1999) from Fırat University (Turkey). He joined Yildiz Technical University Environmental Engineering Department (Istanbul, Turkiye) in 2001 as Research Assistant. He completed his M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering (2002) and earned his Ph.D. (2006) from Yildiz Technical University, Turkiye. He was promoted to Professor in 2017.
Throughout his career, Professor Bilgili successfully led several research projects funded by the Turkish Government, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkiye (Tubitak), and Research Project Coordination of Yildiz Technical University. Professor Bilgili is the Editor in Chief of the Environmental Research & Technology journal, and the organizer of the EurAsia Waste Management Symposium, which takes place biannually.
