
Short biography
Dr. Dongbei YUE received his Bachelor’s (2000), Master’s (2006), and Doctoral (2006) degrees from the School of Environment at Tsinghua University. He worked as a visiting scholar at the Department of. Civil & Materials Engineering, University of Illinois at Chicago and the Department of Civil, Construction & Environmental Engineering, North Carolina State University from July 2010 through July 2011. He is currently a tenured professor and Associate Dean of the School of Environment at Tsinghua University, serving as the Chair of the Resource and Environment Subcommittee of the Tsinghua University Degree Evaluation Committee, and Director of the Teaching Committee of the School of Environment. In addition, he holds appointments as Deputy Director of the National Key Laboratory of Environmental Protection for the Iron and Steel Industry and Office Director of the Environmental Department of the Science and Technology Commission under the Ministry of Education.
