Short biografy
Professor Pettersson obtained her M.Sc. in Economics from Luleå University of Technology (LTU) in 2001, followed by a M.A. in Law in 2003. She defended her doctoral thesis on the topic of Renewable energy development and the function of law in 2008. After an interdisciplinary postdoctoral fellowship at Umeå University, Pettersson received a permanent position at LTU where she became associate professor in 2014 and full professor in 2016. Since 2017, Pettersson is Chaired Professor of Law at LTU, where she leads research in environmental and natural resources law. She is also a member of the Swedish Climate Policy Council, contributing legal expertise to national climate governance.
