Short biography
Marina Rigillo, PhD in Architecture Technologies at the University of Rome Sapienza, is an Associate professor at the University of Naples Federico II, Department of Architecture (DIARC). Her research activity is in the field of circular design and urban metabolism, with a focus on the concept of ‘life cycle’ brought back to building stock and abandoned urban spaces. On these topics, she leads and participates to relevant research projects funded by the Italian Government and the European Commission such as Horizon 2020, the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action, Switch-Asia, Next Generation EU. She is in the PhD scientific board of the DIARC. She is in the Management Committee of the Task Force of Ateneo Human and Future. Since 2011, she has been an associate researcher at CNR-Iriss.
