Short biografy
Professor Alamgir obtained his B.Sc. in Engineering (1986) from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka. In the same year, he joined the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Khulna, Bangladesh, as a Lecturer in Civil Engineering. He was promoted to Professor in 2002.
He completed his M.Sc. in Engineering (1989) at BUET and earned his Ph.D. (1996) from Saga University, Japan, where he also held a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship from 1996 to 1998.
Throughout his career, Professor Alamgir successfully led several research projects funded by the Government of Bangladesh and the European Commission under programs such as Asia Link, Asia Pro Eco, and the 7th Framework Programme.
